    Launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

    Rockstar Games has Grand Theft Auto VI launching on Thursday, 19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the current official date and the one this hub is built around. No PC version has been announced.

  2. 12 November 2026 · Announced

    Digital pre-load opens

    Players who pre-ordered a digital copy can begin pre-loading a week before launch, on 12 November 2026, so the game is playable at release. The physical edition ships as a download code rather than a disc.

    Pre-orders opened

    Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026. Rockstar says every pre-order, and every purchase made before 20 November 2026, includes the Vintage Vice City Pack.

  4. November 2025 · Delivered

    Release date moved to 19 November 2026

    The second and most recent date change, announced by Rockstar itself. The game had been dated 26 May 2026; Rockstar moved it to 19 November 2026, saying the extra months would let it finish the game to the standard players expect.

    Trailer 2

    The second trailer showed far more of the state around Vice City than the first: coastline, wetland, inland roads and long stretches of open water. It remains the largest single look at Leonida that Rockstar has published. No map has ever been released.

    Trailer 1 and the reveal

    The announcement trailer confirmed the return to Vice City and introduced Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. The game carried a 2025 window at that point; both later date changes were announced by Rockstar on the Newswire.
