GTA 6 interactive map: everything we know

Aktualisiert 2026-09-01

There is no interactive Grand Theft Auto VI map yet, from Rockstar or from anyone else, because the game has not shipped and no legitimate source of marker data exists before release. This hub's map opens on release day, 19 November 2026. Until then this page collects what Rockstar has officially shown of Leonida and Vice City, and sets out exactly what the map will and will not have when it goes live.

What is officially known about Leonida

Rockstar has released two trailers and an official website section describing the setting. Between them, the confirmed picture is this:

  • The game is set in the state of Leonida, with Vice City returning as its main urban area.
  • The official website names six regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Mount Kalaga and Ambrosia.
  • The second trailer, from May 2025, shows beaches, dense city blocks, wetland, open highway, small-town streets and long stretches of water.
  • The playable protagonists are Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval.
  • The release date is 19 November 2026.

Everything else about the map, including its size, its road network, the location of any collectible and the interiors you can enter, is unannounced. Material claiming otherwise before release comes from leaks, and this site publishes none of it.

Is there an official Rockstar interactive map?

No, and there probably will not be one. Rockstar has historically shipped a printed or digital map with the game and an in-game map inside it, but the company has never published a companion web map with filterable markers and a completion checklist for a Grand Theft Auto title.

That gap is why community maps exist at all. It also means every interactive map you find for a Rockstar game, including this one, is unofficial fan work. If a site presents itself as the official Grand Theft Auto VI map, that claim is false.

What this map will offer at launch

The engine behind this hub already runs on another game on this platform, so the map is not being written from scratch on release day. What opens on 19 November 2026:

  • A tiled backdrop stitched from our own screenshots of the in-game map, at five zoom levels.
  • Marker categories with a legend you can switch on and off, so a screen full of vehicles does not hide the collectibles you are hunting.
  • A found / not-found checklist with per-category counters. Progress is stored in your own browser, with no account and no sign-in.
  • Filters and text search across the loaded marker set.
  • A page per object for markers that need one: where it is, how to get there, and a link that opens the map centred on it.
  • Deep links, so a marker URL you paste into a Discord message opens the map on that exact point.

What will not be there on day one is coverage. A map is only as good as its marker data, and on release day nobody has surveyed Leonida yet. Expect a thin map that fills in daily over the first weeks, with the categories that people search for most going in first.

How the data gets collected, and why that matters

Every marker on this platform comes from someone playing the game and recording a position. Screenshots are our own gameplay captures. The map backdrop is stitched from our own screenshots of the in-game map, never from extracted game files or an official map image.

Before release, the only Grand Theft Auto VI material on this site is what Rockstar has published publicly. No leaked footage, no datamined coordinates, no maps reconstructed from either. That rule costs coverage in the short term and it is not negotiable: leak-sourced fan sites get taken down, and a map that disappears in week two helps nobody.

If you want to help fill the map in, contributor accounts open before release.

Before release: what to do with this hub now

The map module for this hub is switched off until launch, and the hub says so rather than showing an empty canvas. What is live now:

  • The guides in this section, covering what is officially confirmed about the map.
  • The same engine running on another game hub on this platform, if you want to see how the map, the checklist and the object pages actually behave before committing to them.

The map itself flips on at release. Nothing on this hub will claim knowledge of Leonida that Rockstar has not published.

Häufige Fragen

When does the GTA 6 interactive map on this site go live?
On release day, 19 November 2026. The map opens with a stitched backdrop and the first surveyed markers, then fills in daily over the following weeks.
Is this the official Rockstar map for GTA 6?
No. This is an unofficial fan site with no affiliation to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Rockstar has never published a companion web map for a Grand Theft Auto game.
Will the map track which collectibles I have already found?
Yes. Every marker can be ticked off, with counters per category. Progress is kept in your browser's local storage, so it needs no account and never leaves your device.
Why is there no map on this hub right now?
Because the game is unreleased and the only honest sources of map data before launch are leaks, which this site does not use. A map built from officially published trailers would be guesswork presented as data.
Which platforms is GTA 6 releasing on?
Rockstar has announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the 19 November 2026 release. No PC release date has been announced.
